Geraldine Estelle Horner (née Halliwell), born 6th August 1972, known as ‘Ginger Spice’ was born in Watford, Hertfordshire. Geri was part of the group from 1994 until 1998 and later reunited with the group in 2007. The band’s slogan ‘girl power’ was most closely associated with Geri and her Union Jack dress from the 1997 Brit Awards, which became an enduring symbol of Cool Britannia and a defining moment in pop music history. / After leaving the band, Geri released her first solo album ‘Schizophonic’; which spawned the Number Two hit ‘Look at Me’ and three Number Ones, ‘Mi Chico Latino’, ‘Lift Me Up’ and ‘Bag It Up’. Geri’s second album, ‘Scream If You Wanna Go Faster’ produced the worldwide Number One hit ‘It’s Raining Men’, which was featured in the 2001 film ‘Bridget Jones’s Dairy’.
